Alex Quirk

 Bike Fitter

Alex is a physiologist, cycling coach and current masters of sport science student. He joins our team as an experienced bike fitter for all levels of riders; from recreational to high performance athletes.

Since finishing his Bachelor of Science, Alex has run his own cycling coaching business: Endeavor Coaching Services. He was previously an elite amateur athlete, competing in the National Road Series. Injury forced him to cease competition and he began coaching part time whilst commencing a Chemical Engineering degree. However, it quickly became apparent that coaching was a real passion of his and it slowly transitioned to a full time load in 2019. In 2020 Alex made the decision to put a halt to his engineering degree and pursue coaching as a career.

Through his business, Alex provides individualised training programs for road and track cyclists as well as triathletes. He works with a diverse group of athletes ranging from elite juniors, para athletes, elite male and female riders and some competitive masters riders.

Alex tracks athletes training and racing performances through a combination of in person contact and online monitoring of all training files and data. His previous experience as an athlete, combined with a background in physiology, strong interpersonal skills and adept usage of leading endurance training/athlete management software (TrainingPeaks & Wk05) has allowed him to provide highly proficient and leading coaching care to athletes.

Alex derives huge satisfaction from enabling riders to reach heights they never thought possible. Along side his study and racing Alex has worked in the bike industry for many years and is well and truly embedded in the cycling community in Brisbane.
