Dan

Podiatrist

Dan is the latest addition to The Pedaler Podiatry team, adding to the available practitioners at The Pedaler HQ and Eatons Hill and Nundah NorthWest Physiotherapy co-locations. As well as this, you’ll find him behind the scenes working with Cobra9 and getting his hands dirty in the orthotic lab making devices for our partners around Australia.

From a very young age, Dan grew up with a keen interest in watching and participating in a range of different sports. Football and bmx bikes (with the occasional hardtail mixed in) occupied almost every weekend of the year for over 15 years, much to the delight of his parents and their plans for a free weekend.

It made sense that he begin his journey by completing study in Exercise and Sports Science at the Australian Catholic University on the Northside of Brisbane. Following this study, he put this knowledge into practice where he honed his skills working with a wide variety of athletes improving their strength and conditioning in the gym and on the football field. Working with people of all abilities, stages of life and varying levels in their respective fields motivated Dan to continue learning and enhance the available skills at his disposal to continue helping people kick their goals.

He completed a few more years of study at Queensland University of Technology, graduating with distinction from a Bachelor of Podiatry. Not long after he made the move north to the seaside town of Hervey Bay in 2018. While up there, Dan worked closely with people from a range of backgrounds to improve their performance and quality of life, including NDIS participants, growing kids, recreational and high level athletes as well as plenty of weekend warriors or those returning to action years after their self-imposed retirement.

Now settled back home in Brissy, Dan strives to offer his knowledge and experience of sports, human movement and biomechanics, strengthening and conditioning, footwear and orthotic therapy to give people the nuanced and personalised treatment plan they need to better themselves regardless of ability levels or personal goals.
